The "Treasure of the Month" for April from the collections of the University Museum of Tübingen

The "Treasure of the Month" for April from the collections of the University Museum of Tübingen is this representation of the world's oldest fish! Its 35.000 years old, 7 centimeters long and made of mammoth ivory.

It was found in the famous Vogelherd cave and proves that men observed their entire environment and depicted what was important to them. And these were not only large animals, but also small and seemingly unspectacular ones. [...] uni-tuebingen.de / Via Ice Age Europe
