International Obsidian Conference

INTERNATIONAL OBSIDIAN CONFERENCE (JUNE 1-3, 2016): The International Obsidian Conference will be held on the island of Lipari, Italy.

The 2016 International Obsidian Conference is open to presentations and discussion of a variety of themes related to obsidian studies worldwide, including archaeology, geology, archaeometry, and anthropology.

Obsidian and its broader implications for regions around the world will be the focus of this meeting.
